Every now and then my Escalade with an automatic transmission will jerk when switching gears. Not all the time. It also misses/studders and backfires sometimes. Could this be caused by the same thing or two different issues? Transmission? check ignition coils
make sure you have transmission fluid
if all of that is fine, get a mechanic
