Is it easy to swap a 1964 cadillac body?

I have a 1964 cadillac that runs great. however, the runk is rusted out along with cancer here and there....would it smart to buy another car (same year/model) for 700 and swap shells (interrior is nice too) or to pay for the cancer? Is it easy to swap a 1964 cadillac body?Fixing rust is always expensive.

I'd swap.Is it easy to swap a 1964 cadillac body?

Depends on where the rust is. On any car, you can swap out the fenders, doors, hood, and trunk lid. The rest is the car, along with the VIN. Question is this, are the rear quarters, roof, pillars rusted? You might want to do both, buy the donor car for the removable parts, and buy replacement parts for the non-removable parts. It's gonna cost, but you can get replacement parts for just about anything.

You might consider doing a rat rod. Paint it flat black, or leave the patina, cherry out the engine and interior, drop it to the ground, and invest in some really good pinstriping from a pro. It will cost the same, and will look bad ***.Is it easy to swap a 1964 cadillac body?Just switch engines. I don't think you realize what would be involved in switching a car body.
