They are not good cars for teenagers as they get poor fuel mileage and cost a lot to repair.Would a 1994-1999 Cadillac deVille Sedan make a good car for a 16 year old?Nope.

Wait until you get something screwy like a steering stabilizer malfunction that just rips you for $500...and you don't even know that kinda' part exists!

A friend of mine had that (a retired and not exactly broke professor) on a 99 Deville with 39k miles on it. $500 repair later, he bought a simpler GMC Canyon.

I can only imagine how often you're stuck with that car in the driveway when you can't afford the repairs...Would a 1994-1999 Cadillac deVille Sedan make a good car for a 16 year old?
cadillacs are not all that good of a car, they are fine when new, and under warranty, but after 100,000 miles are prone to engine and transmission and electrical problems with hard to find switches and are very expensive to get fixed. If you have lots of extra money for repairs, no problem, I would go to car complaints.com and check those years. I know the 6 cylinder is not a good engine, and the northstar engine which was some high powered expensive night mare turned out to be a very expensive hunk of crap. It would overheat around `100,000 and the block cracked. This was an aluminum block, and very expensive. The lightwieght block had iron heads once it overheated one time it was toast. Buy a new caddy under warranty or find something that is more durable and long lasting.
