Fuel door on 2003 cadillac seville opens up on its own?

My 2003 cadillac has a button to push to open the fuel door. When the car is parked it is now popping open and when I close it, it pops open again. I can see the mechanism working after it pops open. It just keeps working. The button inside the car is not depressed so it may be a short circuit How can I fix it?Fuel door on 2003 cadillac seville opens up on its own?Could be the contacts in the switch are stuck in the closed position or a shorting wire...remove the switch and unplug it to see if the door actuator still trys to work.
