I run a mechanic shop and were responsible for any damages that occur to a customers car while in our possession. He should have insurance for this very kind of thing. You could report him to the better business bureau, sue him and protest in front of his shop on the side walk. He needs to take owner ship for his mistake. Can a 99 Cadillac Esclade motor block be welded on if not can the mechanic be held accountable for cracking itI know I'm a female but ive worked on cars all my life and ran many of aout shops such as Firestone so my answer to you is the first mechanic that worked on your vehicle is very much responsible. For one that mechanic apparently didnt know what he/she was doing an i would be how do i put this in a lady like manner " in their ***"
