Cadillac says to change engine oil and trans fluid but i did already?

ok i changed the oil and transmission fluid on my cadillac because it was saying on the dashboard anyways it still says to change the oil and trasn fluid is a cadillac seville sls with a 4.6 northstar engineCadillac says to change engine oil and trans fluid but i did already?You did not say model and year but guessing from my fuzzy memory I seem to recall that the transmission service reset is done by turning on the key (but not starting engine) and then on the climate control holding down OFF and REAR DEFOG until the light goes off. I seem to remember it took something like 15-30 seconds.For the oil press the information button till the remaining oil life is on the display then hold down the reset till it resets back to 100%. This was on a mid 90's model. Not sure what years or models this covered. Disconnecting the battery only works on pre 1996 cars.Cadillac says to change engine oil and trans fluid but i did already?Did you try to take off negative battery cable?
